A day-long summit on Nov. 10 will explore key trends and emerging technologies in immigration law and practice.

The 2020 AILA Technology and Innovation Summit, presented by the American Immigration Lawyers Association, promises to bring together thought leaders, technology influencers and immigration law practitioners to provide insight into the current state of practice, what to watch for, and how to shape the future of immigration practice.

Keynote speaker for the conference will be Margaret Hagan, executive director of the Legal Design Lab at Stanford University, who will explore the future of innovation and technology’s impact on the legal profession.

Another featured speaker is Rick Klau, a lawyer by training who recently left Google after more than 13 years, where he was most recently on the operating team at Google Ventures, and was earlier a product manager on Blogger, Google+, and YouTube.

The conference will also include a virtual exhibit hall.

Until Nov. 5, the registration cost is $325 for AILA members and $525 for non-members. After that date, prices go up to $375 for members and $575 for non-members. Lower rates are available for law students, paralegals, government workers and nonprofit attorneys.
