Fastcase, a company that offers legal-tech tools for lawyers is seeking a savvy Legal Content Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. This role will mainly focus on creating content for our dockets and analytics platform Docket Alarm as well as serving our foundational legal research platform and App and its new Fastcase 7 App launching in 2023.

 

The role requires a passion in workflow in how lawyers work. Our Docket Alarm product is one of the fastest-growing “BigLaw” legal technology platforms, providing a unique window into litigation and practice across the United States. The hundreds of millions of cases, and lawsuits within Docket Alarm’s database span the scope of humanity including large corporate battles, class-actions, bankruptcies big and small, criminal cases, traffic accidents, and much more. Attorneys use Docket Alarm’s database and lawsuit visualizations to inform trial strategy, settlement, and timing.

 

Marketing a powerful legal technology product to a sophisticated user base requires talented marketers, who understand the law firm audience and legal tech market. Our Marketing team is responsible for executing campaigns that educate prospective customers about our products, including email drip campaigns, social media posting, Hubspot marketing automation, ads, and beyond.
We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable about legal, legal tech, or the enterprise SaaS market, an excellent writer, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and eager to learn.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
• Develop and execute high-quality content marketing campaigns focused on legal technology meant to drive a mostly attorney and legal professional audience. Tasks include marketing campaign ideation, content production, segmentation, scheduling, and tracking via organic and paid channels such as email, newsletters, search & social ads, SEO, blogs, social media, and events.
• Identify opportunities for cross-brand promotion of content and product offerings with other legal technology companies, law firms, and professional organizations.
• Analyze the performance of a brand’s content strategy and provide data-driven recommendations for what type of content drives traffic, leads, engagement, and conversion to which audience within the legal technology purchasing landscape.
• Project manage audience acquisition campaigns and coordinate execution between team members in engineering, finance, product, and sales.
• Utilize analytics tools to monitor performance and optimize campaigns as well as build an
understanding of user behavior in each target audience segment.
• Manage our social media communities by engaging in online conversations on behalf of the brand to ensure two-way dialogue; seek ways to continually engage current and potential customers and community members, ensuring consistency with brand voice and channel activation strategies.
• Monitor through social listening relevant insights and trends to inform future content
• Stay abreast of, and adhere to, best practices, platform policy guidelines, rules of participation, etc. to remain relevant and up to date in a quickly changing content marketing and social media landscape.
• Assist with conference and event logistics, planning, and marketing assets.
• This role will mainly focus on our Docket Alarm product but may be required to assist with marketing efforts for additional Fastcase products.

 

Location
• New York, NY, or Washington, D.C. is preferred but not required. Hybrid work program, Travel to key conferences required.

 

Requirements Qualifications
• Degree in journalism, English, marketing, or communications or demonstrated success in relevant professional fields
• Experience or passion to work in the legal tech industry
• Minimum 3 years as a strong content marketing writer producing campaigns, brand storytelling, content creation through creative, design, and/or editorial experience, calendar planning, and publishing across digital channels
• Minimum 3 years of brand social media experience including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Linkedin, and Instagram, including paid
• Experience in analyzing content performances through digital channels
• Technically proficient with the ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and work independently and collaboratively with colleagues
• Results focused with excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Software (SaaS) or B2B marketing experience
• Experience with the following tools: Salesforce, Hubspot, Canva, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma
