New Marketing VP at Brightflag

In the wake of a $28 million investment in December, Brightflag, an AI-powered spend and matter management platform for corporate legal departments, has named Jill Altruda as vice president of marketing, where she will direct global marketing strategy, customer acquisition and customer communications.

Before joining Brightflag, Altruda led product marketing for supply chain company LLamasoft through its $1.5 billion acquisition by Coupa. She has also held senior marketing positions at ProQuest and Truven Health Analytics, where she drove global go-to-market strategy in the information technology and healthcare industries.

Lexicon Appoints New VP

Last June, I wrote here about Lexicon, a new law practice management platform with a unique twist — offering not only software, but also tight-knit integration with related services integral to a law practice, such as virtual receptionists, marketing and recruiting. Now, the company has named Lori Moser as its first vice president of strategy, mergers & acquisitions, where she will be responsible for evaluating corporate investments, developing critical insights, and driving the execution of strategic plans to enhance the company’s growth.

Moser joins Lexicon after serving as a director at R.L. Hulett & Company, an investment and banking firm in St. Louis, where she focused on buying and selling side engagements for privately-held businesses. Previously, she spent more than 20 years with Emerson Electric, a Fortune 500 company based in St. Louis, where she held various business development leadership roles, including M&A, sales, marketing, and general management.

Clio CEO Joins dealcloser Board

Jack Newton, CEO and cofounder of legal practice management company Clio, has joined the advisory board of dealcloser, a platform for securely managing corporate transactions. As a member of the advisory board, Newton will provide dealcloser’s executive team with guidance and mentorship.

The two companies, both based in Canada, had already worked together, as dealcloser integrates with Clio.

Hanzo Names Chief Revenue Officer

Hanzo, a company that helps corporations preserve and manage data from enterprise collaboration applications and complex websites, has named Kathleen Roberge to the position of chief revenue officer.

Roberge joins Hanzo with over 20 years of experience in sales leadership and go-to-market strategy development. She previously served as chief revenue officer at Rocketrip and Aventri and as chief business development officer at Compushare. Earlier, she was EVP, security and compliance, at Perimeter.

Leonard A VP At Feit

Feit Consulting, a New York City firm that consults on legal information and legal research products and services, has named Katie Leonard as vice president, Information Management Services, where she will lead the firm’s Contemporary Library Solutions initiatives. Leonard formerly was with LAC Group a a client services customer success professional and spent 11 years at Thomson Reuters as librarian relations manager.

A particular focus for Leonard will be on helping law librarians and information professionals optimize services and minimize costs for the “new normal” brought on by the coronavirus crisis.
